Plastic Track

|
Project
- designing
a plastic walkway for people and a plastic roadway for vehicles
RP methods - SLA,
SLS
TCT highlights - the
plastic walkway was created as an SLA model for the purpose
of creating a dozen PU prototypes from a silicon 'soft' tool.
The meshing panels and lock (see photo) were prototyped as a
one-off using SLS nylon to best simulate the actual material
properties.

Computer Hub
|
Project
- concept
design for interactive management of a large computer hub
RP method - SLA,
CNC Milling, Electronics
TCT highlights - the
pull out display (see photo) was made up of six parts plus a
pcb. All mechanical parts were protolayed in SLA. The base was
prototyped from an Aluminium block and a one-off flexi-circuit
board was manufactured to create a fully working l.e.d display.

Sheetmetal

|
Project
- design,
for manufacture, of various sheetmetal components
RP method - CNC
punching, Forming, Bending, Heat Treatment, Welding & Painting
TCT highlights - all
designs, whether in 2D or 3D CAD formats were converted into
Pro/SHEETMETAL for automated & accurate developments. CNC
equipment plus traditional 'fast track' methods were used to
reduce manufacturing time for small quantities of prototype
parts.
