BAE SYSTEMS choose Concurrent
Design Group as their Pro/ENGINEER training Partner
BAE SYSTEMS
APPRENTICES WITH STEWART WILSON FROM CDG (MIDDLE BACK ROW)
This year for the first time, BAE SYSTEMS has chosen Concurrent
Design Group (CDG) to provide specific Computer Aided Design (CAD)
training for a number of their apprentices.
This new initiative came as a result of BAE SYSTEMS reviewing its
approach on how apprentices received training on the CAD tools used
within the Design Office. BAE SYSTEMS had been finding it increasingly
difficult to give the appropriate attention to apprentices on their
7-week placement, due to today's increasingly complex CAD tools.
BAE SYSTEMS enrolled their apprentices on the 5-day CDG 'Fundamentals
of Pro/ENGINEER' training course. This course gives an introduction
to the mechanical Pro/E 3D-Design tool and serves as a foundation
for working within the pro/E environment. Its main aim is to build
a sound philosophy that will allow the user to progress to more
'industry specific' modules of Pro/ENGINEER, with extreme confidence.
Other Training opportunities using Design Office CAD tools are
now being considered for the future, in particular around the Electronic
"Mentor" Printed Circuit Board layout and Circuit Capture
and the Product Data Management systems.
CDG's training courses cover
Pro/ENGINEER, Mechanica, Intralink, ModelCheck, ProductView and
Pro/DESKTOP.
