Surface Modelling

Designing complex or aesthetic surface models can be a complex task. The key is having the latest surfacing software tools and engineers with many years experience in creating surface geometry. Concurrent Design have been creating complex shapes for over nine years and have investment in the latest ASX and ISDX software to ensure we can generate fully accurate surface, or surfaces which can be dynamically manipulated for interactive design - and in the most productive timescale possible.

We can create the following surfaces:-:

  • parametric surfacing for design criteria management
  • direct surfacing for reverse engineering
  • interactive surfacing with a unique freeform curve and surface modelling approach to give increased levels of interaction and flexibility

Parametric Surfaces

We provide this service to clients who require even more control over the shape of their designs. We can cater for a wide range of products from prismatic engine components, to contoured golf clubs, to organic shapes like human teeth.

Our highly qualified engineers can efficiently develop and refine your most demanding dimension driven geometry and free-form surfaces and accurately create the intended shape. Our skills mean we can provide you with high-quality styled surfaces quickly and efficiently thus saving you time and money.

Surfaces from Point Clouds

The method involves scanning or digitizing the physical part to create 3D points, curves and surfaces. However the technical part is making use of the data succesfully for the intended purpose in the CAD system.

Style Surfaces

The benefits of style or interactive surface modelling includes:-
Fully integrated surface and solid modelling
Unique design flexibility
Efficiently develop and refine dimension driven surfaces
Capture design surface information
Create, modify, and verify styled surfaces
Generate high-quality complex surfaces efficiently
Save time and money creating complex forms
